Office policies regarding co-pays and referrals:
Co-pays are expected at the time of service. If a bill is sent because the co-pay was not paid at the time of visit, a $10 processing fee will be added to the balance. Also, it is the patient’s responsibility to know if a referral from the primary care provider is needed. Some insurance companies will not allow “back dating” of a referral. That is, if the patient is seen without a referral the insurance company will not pay for the visit. If you do not have a valid referral on the day of the visit, you may have to re-schedule.
Here is a current list of insurances we do not except:
- PA Access
- Amerihealth
- UPMC Access Plan
- Coventry Access Plan
- Gateway Physicians Assistant Plan
